Important information for Turnitin users

Dear Turnitin Users,

We are currently in transition from the Turnitin Basic* product to the Turnitin Direct** product. The current Turnitin Direct product installed on Blackboard only provides users access to the plagiarism detection tool and GradeMark.

Turnitin released a new version of the Turnitin Direct product which includes PeerMark. This new product was released to us January 20 and we are currently testing its functionality with our system. Given the timing of the release and our need to fully test the functionality and compatibility with our system, we plan to schedule the upgrade for sometime between the spring 2015 semester and summer 2015.

If you need to use PeerMark in the meantime you can access the tool via Turnitin.com.

* in Blackboard known as Assessment -> Turnitin Assignment – Do Not Use – it is broken and you cannot create new or edit existing assignments using it. The link is there for so users can access old assignments.

** in Blackboard known as Assessment -> Turnitin Direct Assignment – NEW tool to create new assignments.
