The college is holding the inauguration ceremony for President Roger Ramsammy on Friday, Oct. 25 at 10:30 a.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex with a celebratory lunch to follow. All faculty and staff are encouraged to attend this historic event and are welcome to invite students, external partners and stakeholders as well.
The inauguration represents a milestone for the college and an opportunity to celebrate Hudson Valley’s history and decades of service to students and community organizations, as well as our shared vision for the future.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Those attending the inauguration ceremony are required to register online by Friday, Oct. 11. See “Installation Ceremony” at www.hvcc.edu/inauguration.
- Please note that classes will be held as scheduled, and essential college offices will remain open. A listing of those offices will be shared with the campus community. Offices that elect to close to allow staff the opportunity to attend the inauguration should do so in consultation with their respective vice president and/or supervisor.
- Faculty are encouraged to wear academic regalia and participate in the procession. If teaching, we encourage faculty to consider bringing their classes to the event.
- Staff with academic regalia are also encouraged to join the procession.
- Robing will begin at 9:45 a.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex. Ushers and signage will direct procession participants. Line up for the procession will begin at 10:15 a.m., and marshals will assist participants. The procession begins at 10:30 a.m.
In addition to the inauguration ceremony, the college Foundation will host its annual gala on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Franklin Plaza in downtown Troy. All employees have received a formal invitation via mail to both the gala and inauguration, and additional information is available online at www.hvcc.edu/inauguration.
