Instructional Resources Committee meeting on Monday, Feb. 7

The Instructional Resources Committee (IRC) will meet on Monday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. on Zoom.

Highlights of our Nov 29 meeting:

  • Discussion of creating a survey to assess how textbook use is changing (traditional vs etext vs OER textbook usage).
  • A lot of technological change is happening this year and next year (Brightspace, phasing out TechSmith Knowmia, etc), so feel free to come to our meetings to hear about these and other discussions and give input for future users!

For those who are not familiar with the IRC, we are a standing committee of the Academic Senate that oversees technology and classroom resources for the college. The last meeting included discussions and updates on classroom projector issues, library database access, and cameras in the classroom.

As always, faculty and staff guests are welcome. So, please feel free to email Jamey for details on how to access the meeting via Zoom, then share your issues or problems, and stay for the meeting. If you have questions, comments, or classroom issues that you would like the IRC to examine, but cannot attend the meeting, please email Jamey directly (j.thompson@hvcc.edu).
