4.1 Student Response System Subcommittee update
As a part of the IRC’s efforts to lead the campus toward an institutional standard for the adoption of “clicker” technology in the classroom, one of the leading vendors under consideration has been asked to provide the committee with an assessment of product compatibility with the college’s learning management system (LMS). As part of this presentation, a training coordinator for Turning Technologies will provide a brief Web-Ex demonstration which will focus both on the integration of classroom collected data into the Bb grade book, and how clickers are commonly used in distance & online courses.
4.2 Ongoing discussion of IRC By-laws review.
Further discuss tasks and areas related to classroom teaching, to develop a list of items/topics that fall within the areas of responsibility of the IRC. (See Coleen’s discussion list.)
4.3 E-book Subcommittee update.
4.4 Adjunct Instructor Support discussion: brief update on zoomerang survey’s results, which are now being processed for presentation to Academic Senate.
5.0 Instructional Resources Forum.
This is an open time for committee members, as well as guests, to discuss positive and negative Issues regarding their instructional spaces and related resources.

From the Bylaws of the Academic Senate:
- Purpose. The Instructional Resources Committee is responsible for recommending those matters involving policies governing the development and utilization of all learning and instructional resource facilities.
- Responsibilities. The Instructional Resources Committee is specifically responsible for:
1. formulating, evaluating, approving and recommending policies regarding instructional resources and services in support ofclassroom instruction and the overall educational process;
2. identifying and evaluating available instructional resources and services and making recommendations concerning the developmentand implementation of those resources and services which support classroom instruction and the overall educational process, including but not limited to, the library, instructional media, computer, laboratory usage.
