Instructional Technologies utilizes technology for Voices presentation

In addition to the live webcast that Instructional Technologies (IT) conducts for each Voices: A Library Lecture Series presentation, videoconferencing also is used.

Dr. Paul Calarco teaches sociology to Hudson Valley Community College students along with Hoosic Valley High School students via videoconferencing. On Oct. 25, Dr. Calarco wanted to bring the Voices presentation, The Real Witches of New England, into the high school classroom. Utilizing videoconference technology, Hoosic Valley students were able to watch the presentation along with HVCC students in BTC 310. Hoosic Valley students were able to e-mail questions to an e-mail account, giving them the ability to participate in the lecture series as if they were in the BTC Auditorium.
