Now that midterm grades have been submitted, you may have students requesting verification of class participation from you.
This is important for their financial aid!
Students who receive all “F” grades at midterm will not receive further disbursements of federal financial aid funds unless they submit verification to the Financial Aid Office from their instructor(s) that they have been actively participating in (all) class(es) AFTER April 15, 2016 (or your Z grade date).
If you submit a statement of participation for your student to our office, we request that you include your Z grade policy.
**Active participation can include handing in assignments, taking tests/quizzes/exams, class discussions, etc.
