Announcing the first Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Action & Awareness Week to be held March 1-5 and coordinated by the University Global Coalition (UGC), SUNY and many additional higher education institutions from around the world!
The purpose of this week is to promote awareness of the SDGs among students in higher education and inspire them to take action in furtherance of the goals on their campuses and in their local community. (Feel free to use the attached graphics in your own promotional efforts!)
Events
Higher education institutions are hosting their own SDG awareness-raising events during the week and are opening them to participants from around the world by submitting the details at https://universityglobalcoalition.org/host-an-event/. Events may focus on a particular SDG or general SDG-related topics.
The Signature Event
In the opening event of UGC Action & Awareness Week (March 1 at noon Eastern Time), Aurélien Decamps, co-founder of Sulitest,and faculty at the Kedge Business School will present the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development Sulitest Report for 2020 and the Sulitest International Test.
During the week, students, faculty and staff of all member universities of UGC will have the opportunity to respond to the SuliTest, a tool for assessing an individual’s SDG literacy, free of charge. Please register in advance of this presentation to secure your place: http://bit.ly/SDGSulitest.
A separate link to complete the SuliTest survey will be available soon and we will be encouraging you to share it widely with your students and colleagues. Preliminary results of the survey will be presented and discussed in a closing event on Friday, March 5.

Sulitest is an international organization devoted to promoting sustainability literacy, that is, the knowledge, skills and mindsets that allow individuals to become deeply committed to build a sustainable future and that help them to make informed and effective decisions to this end. In 2016, Sulitest was recognized as one of the first featured initiatives of the UN Partnerships for SDGs, contributing to the second UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report and to the review of the 2030 Agenda through the High-level Political Forum (HLPF). It also holds an observer status to the UN Environment Assembly and a Special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council since 2019.

SDG Action and Awareness Week organizers will provide resources for students, faculty, and staff to learn about the SDGs and to assist in incorporating SDG-related concepts into their current course structure and projects in a flexible, online format.
