Featured performers are Sonny and Perley. Sonny Daye and Perley Rousseau are a husband and wife duo who perform the timeless standards of the Great American Songbook such as the works of Irving Berlin, George and Ira Gershwin, and Cole Porter, as well as the Bossa Nova melodies of Antonio Carlos Jobim.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; a silent auction begins at 7. Reservations can be made by calling 274-8526 or online at www.lvorc.org. Tickets are $30 in advance, $40 at the door. A table for six is $150. All proceeds will benefit Literacy Volunteers.
In Rensselaer County, at least 30,000 teens and adults can’t complete a job application, write a letter to a child’s school or read the directions on a bottle of cough syrup.
