Joseph Dana is newly appointed as interim department chair for Engineering, Architecture, Construction and Mathematics. The former DC, Craig D’Allaird, opted to return to full-time industry work as a professional engineer.
Dana joined the Hudson Valley Community College faculty in 2018 as a full-time professor of architecture, engineering, and construction. He also is an assistant coach for the Vikings football team. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he played football for two years. Dana also earned two associate degrees from Hudson Valley in Civil Engineering and Architectural Technologies, and played both football and baseball while a student here.
Upon his appointment, Dana said, “It is an honor to be in a very impactful position where I can assist students in the pursuit of their dreams [whether they] continue on to earn a four-year degree or take a job in their selected career.”
