For more than 30 years, HVCC has sponsored summer programs for kids and teens. Planning is now underway for Kids on Campus 2024!
The Office of Community, Professional & Workforce Development is looking for new, innovative camps that provide children with activities that are both engaging and fun.
Camps are one week in length and are offered from 9 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m., or can be a full day. Examples of camps we have offered include:
- Athletics (soccer, golf, tennis, softball, adventure, etc.)
- Performing Arts (theatre, circus, etc.)
- Technology Enrichment (drones, robotics, etc.)
- Summer Academy (art, cooking, computers, science, etc.)
- Career Exploration (Health Sciences, STEM, etc.)
If you don’t have a new idea for camp but would like to be involved, we will again be partnering with Black Rocket, LLC to offer our popular STEM computer camps on topics such as Beats & Jams: Digital Music Creators, Esports Apprentice, ROBLOX® Coders, YouTube® Content Creators and more! Black Rocket also has expanded its offerings to include leadership camps, i.e., Mock Trial, Model United Nations, and Young Investors & Entrepreneurs. Curricula and training are provided for all Black Rocket courses. Descriptions of Black Rocket Courses can be found here.
If you or someone you know is interested in teaching a summer camp, please complete a course submission form here. Please reach out to Kevin Johnston at k.johnston@hvcc.edu or (518) 629-4562 with any questions.
Course proposal submission deadline is Jan. 5.
