The Center for Effective Teaching faculty and staff are pleased to congratulate Kimberly Williams, an advising specialist in the Continuing Education and Summer Session Office, on completion of a Academic Advising Certificate.
Kimberly has been with the college since June 2018. In her tenure at Hudson Valley Community College, Kimberly has provided hundreds of non-matriculated students with academic advisement that leads them on their pathway to success. She assists students in all areas of advisement from career objectives, transfer opportunities, program choices to selection and scheduling of courses. As the only full time advisor in the Continuing Education and Summer Session Office, she is responsible for facilitating the Life Experience Program, administering the CLEP exam, coordinating ongoing retention efforts, and planning two evening student events annually.
