The lacrosse team (6-4) defeated Mercyhurst North East (6-3), 9-8, on Saturday afternoon.
Mercyhurst went ahead by four goals in the third quarter, but freshman goaltender Andrew Reilly (Bethlehem/Bethlehem) shut them out in the fourth, coming up with eight key saves. Mason Agosto (Cary Grove/Cary Grove, IL) and Paul Bennett (Glens Falls/Glens Falls) each recorded three goals, and Eric Plant (Guilderland/Guilderland) added one goal and three assists.
The team travels to SUNY-Delhi on Wednesday, April 11 at 4 p.m., with the winner to finish as the Conference Champion.
