Lansingburgh Historical Society hosts two events

 

The Lansingburgh Historical Society is once again  host to well-known speaker and historian Michael Barrett on Thursday, April 11 at the Van Schaick Country Club, 201 Continental Ave. in Cohoes.

Michael will talk about Troy and its contributions to the war effort during the Civil War. Michael’s talk is at 7 p.m. A $10/person donation at the door supports the Lansingburgh Historical Society’s mission to preserve and promote. Reservations for a selected-menu dinner option at 5:30 p.m. can be made by calling 518-237-0145.

On Saturday, April 13, the LHS will host an open house and “meet the artist” event with local journalist, writer and news anchor John Grey from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the historic Melville House, Two 114th St. in Lansingburgh. John will sell and sign his books from noon to 1 p.m. Requested donation is $5/person.
