Work with students or colleagues at a distance

Are you looking for a way to help your students at a distance? Do you ask your online students to prepare presentations? Have you ever thought about recording a mini lecture that includes video, audio and what is happening on your desktop? Or maybe you would like to bring someone to a meeting virtually, perform a job interview, teach synchronously at a distance, record review sessions or tutorials and/or have guest speakers in your classroom virtually. You can do all of this and more with Blackboard Collaborate.

If you attended the Blackboard Collaborate session on Faculty Workshop Day, then you have seen some of the powerful tools in this program at work. The program is easy to learn and we can teach it to you face-to-face or at a distance.

For a one hour introduction to Blackboard Collaborate, please see the training schedule below.

Online training from your office or home: This is the most authentic way to learn about desktop video conferencing because you will actually be using the application from your office or home. Requirements for this version of training would be a webcam and microphone. If you would like to participate in training from your office or home and do not have a webcam (optional) or microphone, you may sign them out from the Center for Distance and Online Learning.

Face-to-face training may be scheduled for an individual or a group.  E-mail b.farrell@hvcc.edu or Mark Petersen at m.petersen@hvcc.edu.

Tuesday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at your house or office!

Thursday, April 25 at 10 a.m. at your house or office!

We are looking forward to working with you!
