On Saturday, April 17, the eighth Annual Girls in STEM conference will present dynamic keynote speaker Danni Washington, TV host and science communicator.
If you ever wondered what it is like to go diving into an ocean, or what marine biologists do, then join in the virtual chat at 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Through stories and video, Danni will share her journey from living near the Atlantic Ocean, getting a degree in Marine Science & Biology and becoming the first African American woman to host her own science television series, Xploration Nature Knows Best.
You can register for just the keynote here: Girls in STEM Virtual Conference | HVCC
This event will be co-moderated by Taunya Hannibal-Williams, community outreach specialist at Hudson Valley; Kayla Miller, owner of STEM Kings and Queens, and a special youth moderator who will pose her own questions as well.
Sponsored by the Center for Economic Growth and Hudson Valley Community College’s offices of Workforce Development and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
