Howdy Fellow Vikings (or whatever Vikings say)!
After our first week back, I hope you feel oriented and ready to dig into classes, but don’t worry if you are not quite there yet. There is plenty of friendly assistance on campus to help you meet your goals, so don’t hesitate to reach out with your questions and needs.
The Student Senate and I hope you enjoyed the welcome offerings we put together for you last week and want to be sure you know that we plan to keep the activities and fun going all semester long, including discount movie tickets and free treats. This week, we are offering:

- Wednesday Night Trivia — a prize for everyone and $10-$50 gift cards for the top-three winners

As a reminder, Student Senate and Freshman Class President Elections are coming up on Oct. 7 and 8. Holding an elected office is a great way to stay connected, get involved and have a say in issues that affect you and your campus community. Finally, I want to mention that if we were all on campus, we would have our annual memorial ceremony this Friday, Sept. 11, remembering the victims and their families in the catastrophe of 2001. As you go about your day on Friday, you may wish to take a moment to do so personally.
