Assistant Professor Katie Jezik, systems/cataloging librarian at the Dwight Marvin Library, was awarded a Christine Moulen First Time Ex Libris Users of North America Conference Attendee Scholarship, one of three recipients nationwide.
She will attend the conference in May in Spokane, Washington. Katie is the campus lead on the statewide project migrating SUNY libraries from their current library management system to a next-generation library services platform. She also co-chairs the library implementation team. In addition, Katie is a member of and the community college libraries representative on the SUNY Metadata and Standards Policy Working Group, which is devising best practices for cataloging and data structuring to be implemented statewide. Attending the national conference will further develop her expertise in and knowledge of current and new systems.
