Please note the following as you plan for fall semester:
- The Marvin Library Learning Commons will reopen on Monday, Aug. 31, and the building will be open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All users must first complete the daily campus health screening before entry.
- Occupancy limits will be in place and once reached, students and employees must wait for admittance to the building. All users must register when entering the building for potential contact tracing and to monitor occupancy.
- Research services as well as services delivered by the Learning Centers will be available remotely Monday – Thursday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 3:30 p.m. Research appointments will be available.
- Library instruction can be arranged and delivered via Zoom, or with advance notice, using prerecorded video instruction.
- Textbooks will be available for borrowing in person only and will be quarantined for three days after each use. See the Reserve Textbooks Guide for details.
- The second floor is closed until further notice. Writing and research services are available remotely. Print materials may be requested for pick up; there is no browsing of print collections.
- A limited number of Zoom stations will be available for walk-in use on the lower level. Access may be impacted by occupancy limits and the number of stations ITS can make available. Students must bring their own wired headphones (NO airpods, wireless Beats-style headphones, etc.).
- The following services will resume on Aug. 31: streaming DVD requests, resource sharing, hold for pick-up
- The following resources are NOT available: group study rooms, multipurpose room, conference/seminar room, laptops and other equipment lending
