Due to planned vendor data migration, many online library resources will be unavailable beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday, May 29 until 9 p.m. Sunday, May 30. It’s hoped that this occurrence over Memorial Day weekend will minimize disruption. However, for summer session courses, this may be an inconvenience. The schedule was determined by the vendor.
Faculty who are using online resources provided by the library during this 24-hour outage are encouraged to contact either library director Brenda Hazard (b.hazard@hvcc.edu) or online media specialist Sarah Romeo (s.romeo@hvcc.edu) before Friday, May 28 to determine if resources needed will be impacted.
Systems that will be UNAVAILABLE include:
OneSearch (catalog lookups, article searching, textbook inventory, online renewals)
Resource sharing (interlibrary loan) requests (from within databases or directly)
Systems that are NOT IMPACTED include:
Library research guides
Direct access to research databases and the content contained within the specific database (linking across databases is unavailable)
Direct access to streaming databases
If you experience difficulties with accessing library systems after 9 p.m. Sunday, May 30, please send a message to Library Systems Help (help@hvcc.libanswers.com).
