Make a difference – volunteer at Capital Roots

Capital Roots serves a unique role in the Capital Region, nourishing healthy communities by providing access to fresh food and green spaces for all. The challenges of the pandemic have placed an even greater emphasis on this important work.

To achieve its mission on a daily basis – Capital Roots relies on the support of volunteers to help with landscaping and weeding its community gardens, or bagging, weighing, and labeling produce items at its Produce Hub, or picking up produce at our donation collections sites to be delivered to emergency food providers for our Squash Hunger program. These are just a few examples of the important role volunteers serve at Capital Roots.
