Dear fellow employees,
I just signed up for a really important event as a team leader for “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” — it’s one I don’t want to do alone. Please join me, Elise Chan and Mary Claire Bauer at the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Oct. 18 in Albany’s beautiful Washington Park. Last year, Making Strides events united more than one million people in nearly 300 communities nationwide with a shared determination to finish the fight against breast cancer.

Team Leader: Rebecca Maroncelli
Location: Washington Park
Willett Street and Hudson Avenue, Albany, NY 12208
Registration: 10 a.m.
Walk begins: Noon
Walk Length: 5K (3.1 miles)
Why am I walking, and why do I want you to join me? Within the past year, Elise Chan and I were diagnosed with breast cancer and feel strongly about this fundraiser. Thanks in part to American Cancer Society supporters, breast cancer death rates have been declining since 1989. But there’s still more work to do; we can’t stop now.
When donating and/or joining the HVCC team to walk, the American Cancer Society will be able to help more people in more communities touched by breast cancer by funding groundbreaking breast cancer research, providing free comprehensive information and support, and helping people take steps to reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it is most treatable. Every step taken and every dollar raised will help finish the fight against breast cancer, so please consider walking with the HVCC Team or supporting us with a donation.
Thank you so much for your support!
