Pardon our dust as we renovate to better serve you…

The Marvin Library building renovations are well underway. Here’s an update on the new locations of various services, collections and staff:

Library Services: Where are they now?

Reference Desk Lower level at the entrance to the CLC area
Circulation Desk Across the aisle at the former Reference Desk
First floor restrooms Still available with new traffic pattern:
walk around the circulation desk to access
Current Periodicals Collection 2nd Floor south side
Today’s newspapers Shelving by circulation desk
Recent newspapers 2nd Floor library service staff
New Books Collection Temporarily unavailable as a physical display;

Popular Reading Collection On mobile bookshelves 1st floor collaboration zone
Graphic Novel Collection On mobile bookshelves near 2nd floor elevator
Children’s Literature Collection On mobile bookshelves 1st floor collaboration zone
Lower level men’s room Access limited to persons with disabilities and staff; 1st and 2nd floor men’s rooms available
Faculty librarian offices
Interlibrary loan services
Library Director
Other library staff
Lower level area where Current Periodicals Collection was formerly displayed;
some offices are now located behind circulation desk on 1st floor.
Microfilm / fiche Collections 2nd Floor northeast corner
Media carrels Condensed into row between stairs and Instructional Media Center desk
Lower Level Red Zone Combined with first floor red zone
Lower level photocopiers Across from reference desk on lower level &
Near color copier on first floor
Rear door entrance/exit Unavailable during renovations
