The men’s basketball team (9-10) lost to Clinton Community College (18-6), 86-80, in overtime on Thursday evening.
Hudson Valley gave up the lead in the second half, and Clinton rallied to force overtime where they went on to win. Jose Reyes (Shenendehowa/Clfiton Park) led the Vikings with 21 points and Nate Monson (Cohoes/Cohoes) added 20. Matt Walker (Benjamin Banneker/Brooklyn) recorded 11 points and Elijah Newsome (Cohoes/Cohoes) chipped in 10 in tough loss.
The men host North Country on Saturday at 3 p.m.
