The men’s basketball team (11-6) defeated Word of Life, 71-49, on Wednesday evening.
The Vikings trailed by three at the half, but outscored Word of Life 47-22 in the second. Giacomo Giglio (Catholic Central/Glenmont) scored 13 of his game-high 19 points in the second half. Brandon Dean (Flagler Palm Coast/Bunnell, FL) added 18 points and nine rebounds, and Jeremy Taylor (Catskill/Catskill) chipped in 15 points and nine rebounds in the 22-point win.
The men host Schenectady on Saturday at 3 p.m., in the second game of a women’s and men’s doubleheader.
