The men’s lacrosse team (3-1) defeated Alfred State (0-2) 16-9 on Saturday afternoon. The first half was a game of runs as Hudson Valley jumped out to a 5-0 lead. Alfred State struck back scoring six goals but the Vikings answered with four of their own, closing the half with a 9-6 lead. Hudson Valley began the second half with two quick goals building too big of lead for Alfred State to overcome.
The Vikings were led by Mason Agosto (Cary-Grove/Cary, IL) with five goals and four assists. James Christensen (Bethlehem/White Plains) added four goals and Eric Plant (Guilderland/Guilderland), Ryan Polak (Ridgewood (NJ)/Cincinnati) and David Klapp (Saratoga Springs/Green Field) each netted two goals.
The men travel to Mercyhurst North East on today for a game at noon.
