The men’s soccer team (1-2) lost to North Country Community College (1-0) 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.
The Vikings took a 2-2 tie into halftime but a North Country goal in the second half earned them the victory. Ryan Hanehan (South Glens Falls/Halfmoon) and Jarret Farrell (Columbia/East Greenbush) each scored a goal in the defeat, while Joseph Lombardo (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) added an assist.
Richard Acheson (Columbia, North Greenbush) and Brandon Leichman (Guilderland/Guilderland) combined for seven saves in goal.
The men’s next game is Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Tompkins Cortland Community College starting at 4 p.m.
