The Hudson Valley Community College men’s soccer team (2-5-2) lost to Mohawk Valley Community College (11-2-1) 4-2 on Tuesday afternoon.
Joe Lombardo (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) and Ryan Hanehan (South Glens Falls/Halfmoon) each had one goal in the loss. The Vikings trailed 3-0 before Lombardo scored with 15 minutes left to play making it 3-1. Hanehan added another late goal with a minute and a half putting them within one, but Mohawk Valley struck back, sealing the 4-2 victory.
The men travel to Clinton Community College in Plattsburgh for a game on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 1 p.m.
