Middle States Minute — Campus Rough Draft

The draft of our Self Study is ready for review. Thank you all and especially all of the members of the working groups who have worked diligently and collaboratively to produce this draft document.

This is a team effort which allows everyone at HVCC to review and comment on the draft, as we all work to make it the best self-study possible. All comments and suggestions should be emailed to SelfStudyInput@hvcc.edu. Please make note of the page number and the Standard/Criteria with each of your separate comments. Thank you for your contribution.

The following link provides access for anyone to read the draft. It is a work in progress:
Self Study Draft for College Community Collaboration

Each standard is subdivided into criteria and sub-criteria which ask us to better understand how we, as a college, are addressing those standards. Evidence and descriptions of each facet of the college is addressed in the most appropriate section of the self study. Readers will appreciate the effort made to reduce redundancy in the narrative and to organize the information and analysis. As you review the draft consider the particular criteria being addressed and offer improvements in line with that criterion.

Revisions will be ongoing throughout the remainder of the year, so input is always welcome, but we would like your preliminary feedback on this draft before the end of October. This will allow us a chance to integrate the comments into the self study before our first Open Forum scheduled for Nov. 1. (Please stay tuned for details on this and additional open forums.)
