Middle States Minute – Logan Simms

Our Middle States Self Study is made better with contributions from members across the college community. Logan Simms joined Working Group Two last year; this collegial and concentrated team is responsible for gathering evidence and writing about how our college measures up against the standard for ethics and integrity.

Logan Simms is a Chancellor Award recipient, a colleague and a member of Middle States Working Group Two.

Logan Simms continues to be dedicated to our college mission after graduating this past Spring. Readers of the Chronicle might recognize Logan as a recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence.  He distinguished his time as a student with top grades and service to the community. Logan was president of both the Student Christian Association and the HVCC Investment Club. He is currently enrolled at the College of St. Rose and works on-campus as a statistics teaching assistant in the Learning Center.

MSCHE Standard II – Ethics and Integrity
Ethics and integrity are central, indispensable, and defining hallmarks of HVCC. In all activities, whether internal or external, we must be faithful to our mission, honor our contracts and commitments, adhere to our policies, and represent ourselves truthfully.

Working Group Two is co-chaired by Professors Linda Lim and Daniel O’Connor, team members include Dennis Kennedy, Brian Farr, John Staerker, Logan Simms, Christina Kelly, Jeff Schoonmaker and Jena Iversen. Alice Malavasic and Julie Warren recently joined the team. Welcome Alice and Julie!

If you or someone you know is interested in contributing to this college-wide endeavor please contact Joe Stenard or Margaret Geehan.
