Middle States Shout Out Sept 12

Shout out to Alfredo Balarin and Dashira Cortes of the Student Activities Office.  They organized a great welcome week to launch this new year and every week they work with students and the community to provide transformative, student-centered opportunities. Alfredo and Dashira are both focused on supporting all our students to develop themselves into leaders.

Shout out to Dave TenEyck, Linda Mazur, Ken Riordan, Michael Hyland, and Patricia G. Hyland of the Respiratory Care Program. Their efforts have been awarded recognition for three consecutive years by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care’s Credentialing Success.  The criteria for this award require all program thresholds of success to be met AND for the pass rate on the Advanced Level Registered Respiratory Therapist exam to be greater than 90% of the previous three year’s cohort. Our graduates were successful despite having many of their classes offered in alternative formats to adapt to the constraints due to COVID. Hudson Valley graduates also exceed the national mean on this exam in every content category.

Everyone working here is contributing to the tapestry which is HVCC.
The Four Pillars of the Middle States Self Study:
