The Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness (AIE) Committee met on August 6, 2019, at 1 p.m. The meeting minutes are as follows:
Dr. Geehan opened the meeting at 1 p.m. She provided an update on Middle States. They are currently reviewing the substantive change document submitted by Dr. Geehan. It is becoming clear that we must begin organizing the team(s) necessary for our next “self-study” that will be required in 2023.
Dr. Geehan provided an update on the Nuventive software. It has been purchased and will be implemented in 2019. First kickoff meeting will be held on Aug 15, at 11 a.m.
Dr. Geehan reviewed the 2014-19 Strategic Directions and Priorities. The Assessment/Unit Plan linkage will be replaced by the recently developed Strategic Plan of 2019-2024. Strategic Planning Steering Committee meetings were held on Aug. 2 and Aug. 16 at noon. Mission, Vision statements and core values are being developed and will be finalized in August for submission to the Planning Committee, Academic Senate and the Board of Trustees in time for a Nov. 1 filing with Middle States.
Dr. Geehan discussed that the IE report will be out in September 2019.
