Theatre students will present “Moonchildren” in three, free performances at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 in the Maureen Stapleton Theatre in the Siek Campus Center.
First performed in 1971, “Moonchildren,” is a play by Brooklyn-based playwright Michael Weller. The play chronicles a year in the life of the characters referred to in the title: eight college students living communally in an off-campus attic in the mid-1960s.
The cast of 14 student actors is directed by Rosanne Raneri, associate professor in the Department of Fine Arts, Theatre Arts and Digital Media.
The play is appropriate for ages 14 and up due to strong language and sexual innuendo.
