I am downsizing to a smaller home and have two nice desks that I will no longer have room for.
The first is a Hamilton drafting-style desk. This is a real gem and I believe was manufactured in the 50’s or 60’s. It has that classic retro fifties kind of look that I just fell in love with when I bought it. I did a minor restoration on it and refinished the top. It does have a couple of minor blemishes on it, but it is still very nice. I have had the desk for 15 years and hate to part with it.
The top is approximately 3’x5′ and made of solid wood. The top sits on a sliding track and slides completely off if needed, which is kind of cool. The bottom is all solid steel with 3 sliding drawers including one directly beneath the top that is a large as the top itself! Great for over-sized posters, plans, maps, etc. The metal is painted a metallic graphite color with a hammered finish to it. Also comes with matching steel chair from same era. Just imagine yourself sitting at this desk with a martini as the next star of Mad Men!
Asking $100
The second is also a rather large more contemporary corner desk. A nearly identical desk can still be found online today for $200+ (http://www.staples.com/Bush-Wheaton-Reversible-Corner-Desk-Antique-Black-Hansen-Cherry/product_88273).
Asking $100
BONUS: With full-price purchase of either desk, I’m offering free delivery to anywhere within 10 miles of Latham or HVCC between now and Friday, Dec. 13.
