The local section of the American Chemical Society will hold its National Chemistry Day event this year on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the New York State Museum, located at 222 Madison Ave. in Albany.
The event is free to the public. Fun for all ages!

• Interactive demonstrations, fun hands-on activities and experiments,
and door prizes!
• Student Illustrated Poem Contest:
— Categories: K-2nd, 3rd-5th, 6th-8th, 9th-12th
— Create an illustrated poem at the event or bring yours to the
museum by noon. Winners announced at 1 p.m.
— PRIZES! 1st place in each category enters national competition
