New course: CHEM 202 — Introduction to Industrial Chemistry

 

HVCC is offering a new course: CHEM 202, Introduction to Industrial Chemistry.

The chemical industry creates chemical intermediates and final products that consumers use each and every day! Are you interested in learning more about the chemistry and processes behind these intermediates and products?

Introduction to Industrial Chemistry, CHEM 202, explores the three areas of polymers, petrochemicals and pharmaceuticals, as well as the background of how and why a chemical is made.  This course puts chemical industry topics in context and helps students make the transition to industrial careers at companies in the local area.

CHEM 202, Introduction to Industrial Chemistry is offered online as an eight-week sprint course beginning Monday, March 24 during the Spring 2022 semester (3 credit lecture course, no lab).
