Please join me in welcoming HVCC’s new Manager of Student Services, Lauren Gallo, who started on March 19. Lauren comes to HVCC from Schenectady County Community College where she most recently served as Director of College and High School Partnerships. With experience in student support, managing services and collaborating across departments, Lauren will serve as a student resource and success champion at HVCC North. Some may have met Lauren over the last two weeks while she was training in Student Affairs offices on the main campus. She transitioned to HVCC North on April 9.
As the college grows enrollment at HVCC North, Lauren will address the needs of students and work collaboratively with main campus staff to offer various student services and programs. At HVCC North, she will support and represent Student Affairs offices including:
- Enrollment Services – Admissions; Registrar’s Office; Student Outreach, Advisement & Retention (SOAR); Testing & Orientation
- Student Development – Center for Access and Assistive Technology (CAAT); Center for Careers & Transfer; Counseling Services; Health Services; Student Success Center; Veterans Resource & Outreach Center (Vet-ROC)
- Student Life – Athletics; Student Activities; Title IX
- Faculty Student Association – Viking’s Cove Bookstore
