The college has partnered with Thomson Rueters to be on our online vendor for “compliance” training. Below are some of the benefits in using an online system.
It will provide practical, interactive, and cost-effective compliance training courses that assist in changing behavior and support a culture of integrity in the workplace. Employing instructional design techniques optimized for risk and compliance training and accompanied with a full audit trail, courses are driven by practical examples and interactive scenarios to ensure users truly understand and recognize compliance issues.
Human Resources will be assigning training annually. Some of the courses will include:
- Sexual Harassment
- Title IX
- FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)
- Work Place Violence
- Clery Act
It is important to educate employees on compliance topics. This will help reduce the risk to the employee and the College. Many community colleges in New York are using this system and say it is easy to implement and simple to use.
