Hello HVCC community,
I am excited to announce the deployment of a new campus-wide phone system. Our team has been hard at work placing phones on desks and classrooms in preparation for our new phone system. These phones are replacing our current Avaya phone system giving us more collaboration tools, including using the phones off-campus if needed.
How will this affect me?
Apart from the classroom phones, the new phones are currently not active. We are presently completing the back-end work necessary to enable the new phones.
Can I use the new phone right away?
All phones located within classrooms should now be functional. We still have some back-end work before the rest of the phones are ready to use. The immediate goal is to deploy all the phones across the campus and at remote locations.
How can I learn more ahead of time?
We have one-on-one training available. Please book a time with one of our technicians at our Microsoft Booking site. Our team will walk you through the basic functionality of the new phones. Additionally, feel free to review the phone and Teams documentation located on our knowledgebase: https://hvcc.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1967/Portal/KB/?CategoryID=20247.
What happens next?
We are planning to start the phone turn-up beginning mid-September continuing into October. We will perform this turn-up by department. We will send a notification before upgrading your phone.
