Effective Wednesday, July 17, South Drive will reopen for limited use. The newly rebuilt roadway will be reopened from Route 4 to the east entrance of the parking garage. Access to “D” lot, south of Lang Hall, also will be available from South Drive. The west entrance to the parking garage will remain closed.
In addition, the intersection of South Drive and the current Cross Road will be closed to traffic. This closure will allow the contractors to rebuild the new drop off area south of Higbee Hall.
Also at this time, the remainder of Cross Road from the McDonough Sports Complex to Higbee Hall will be closed permanently as work to convert the old road to “green”space will commence immediately.
As a point of information, if you wish to access the north side of campus from the south or the south side of campus from the north, you must use the “new” Cross Road behind the McDonough Complex and Hudson Hall.
