Nominations are now being accepted for the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System delegate and the alternate representing Hudson Valley Community College.
To become a nominee for the elected position, that individual must be a member of NYSTRS. Although not required, each nominating delegate should also have a corresponding alternate who would carry out these duties if the delegate were unable to serve.
The responsibility of the delegate includes serving as a liaison between NYSTRS and members of the college, as well as attending the two-day annual meeting in the fall that includes electing NYSTRS’ board members. The delegate and alternate positions are a two-year term that ends on July 31, 2023.
Nominations may be sent to Deb Richey, director of Human Resources, at d.richey@hvcc.edu until Friday, March 19 at 5 p.m. Elections for the delegate and alternate will take place March 22-26.
