Not too late to sign up for the non-credit Manufacturing Technology Pathways Program!

The college is offering a non-credit Manufacturing Technology Pathways program so more people can acquire the basic skills that can lead to opportunities in manufacturing positions. The program is designed to start participants on a pathway to a variety of good-paying positions in manufacturing.

The intensive, two-week Boot Camp is Monday, May 14 to Friday, May 25  from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday only, no weekends) in the Lang Technical Building.

It is not too late to enroll! View more details about the program.

The college has an excellent reputation with local manufacturers in the region for educating high quality graduates. Many of the entry-level positions with manufacturers require some basic skills, but not necessarily an associate’s degree. These job opportunities are abundant and most start at more than $15/hour, some over $20. Recent views of Indeed job search in the Capital Area revealed over 900 entry level positions requiring only a high school diploma, some experience and a few basic skills.

Here are a couple of quotes from former participants:

“I really didn’t know what to expect. Very happy I came. I learned enough to be comfortable applying for an entry level job in manufacturing. I enjoyed this experience a lot. All the teachers were great.”

“This program is an excellent introduction to all the opportunities available, especially in the Capital Region, even for people without much experience. I already have two interviews scheduled and I’m looking forward to a great future.”
