It is a somewhat lengthy article, but if you have the time to read it, you will better understand the challenges faced by community colleges when it comes to fundraising.
The bottom line is that we are educating bright and talented students who will go on to successful careers. We educate the community’s workforce. All of this is done with declining governmental support and increasing (and often unfunded) mandates. Now more than ever, we need private support.
