Once again this year, the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance will be offering free assistance to income tax filers. Students, staff and faculty who meet requirements are eligible for assistance.
In years past, Hudson Valley Community College accounting degree and certificate students gained valuable experience working side-by-side with the tax preparers, but because of COVID-19, the help has shifted to an online webinar format. Help is still available!
Webinar sessions will be held every Monday, from Feb. 22 through April 12, 2021. You must pre-register and schedule an appointment. Sessions are available from 9 – 11 a.m. and 1 – 3 p.m. For more information or to schedule a session, contact FSA.Appointments@tax.ny.gov.
