NYSETA Virtual Fall conference

The Fall 2020 New York State Cyber Security and Engineering Technology Association will be having a virtual conference on Friday, Oct. 16 from 1 to 4 p.m., hosted by NTID and RIT. It is a Zoom conference. The emphasis of this conference is remote learning, and the plenary speaker and a main conference speaker are noted experts in the field. With the new “normal” that colleges and high schools are facing, best practices are in high demand.

The conference is open to ALL college faculty and staff, and high school teachers who may be facing yet more remote learning in their districts. The conference registration fee is $20, which also provides a one-year membership to the NYSETA.

For more information on the conference schedule, you may visit https://www.rit.edu/ntid/nyseta/. At that link, you will find registration information, information on speakers, and as developing, a conference schedule. The conference will include exhibitors who will offer support to faculty, students and colleges. Information on the NYSETA can be found at https://nyseta.org/.

This conference is not only for faculty in the engineering technology or engineering science programs. It is for ANY and ALL faculty who wish to gain more information on remote learning, gain professional development credit, and perhaps get to “meet” new people! Whether faculty are in the fields of STEM, liberal arts, education, business, or health sciences, this is an ideal opportunity to gain more positive information in the current environment.

Please visit the website and check back, as it changes with more information is provided.
