Longtime chemistry faculty member John Nickles passed away on June 17 and his obituary has been posted in the Times Union.
John, who received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1993, taught at the college for nearly 40 years and also led workshops and nature walks for the college’s Center for Creative Retirement for many years after his retirement, along with his wife, Betty, who was also a faculty member at HVCC.
