Retired Professor William G. Muller, Jr., who taught English, and later photography, at Hudson Valley Community College beginning in 1969, died March 15. He continued to serve the college following retirement as a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Bill worked with former President John Buono to establish the Emmployee Assistance Fund, according to Regina LaGatta ’73, the college’s executive director of External Affairs & Government Relations.
“He never missed a retiree luncheon. I did have him as a professor and he was engaging and absolutely loved his students. He followed his alums’ careers and you could always expect a note from him when your name was in the paper for a promotion or new position,” Regina said.
Private funeral services are planned due to the coronavirus outbreak, but a public memorial service will be announced at a later date.
