Office of International Student Services seeks assistance from employees

If you are traveling outside the United States, please consider representing the college during your trip.

Hudson Valley Community College is interested in both expanding its “global footprint” and increasing the number of international students enrolled each year. Increasing international student enrollment not only has a positive economic impact on the college, it truly enhances the quality of the educational experience on campus.  Simply stated, international students help make Hudson Valley Community College a great place to be by enhancing the cultural diversity on campus!

As an employee of the college, you know that we offer a great education and superior support services at a great price!  The college would like to spread this message globally and the Office of International Student Services is asking for your help.

Based upon your comfort level and as your trip schedule permits, your involvement could include visiting a high school to speak with students, guidance counselors or administrators; meeting with officials at the United States Embassy or Consulate to introduce them to Hudson Valley; meeting with university faculty and administrators to discuss possible articulation agreements, or representing the college at a college event (i.e., fair, information session). The Office of International Student Services would provide you will all needed information and materials.

If you are interested in learning more about representing the college during your trip outside the United States, please contact Dr. Jay Deitchman, coordinator for International Student Services, at j.deitchman@hvcc.edu or (518) 629-7567.
