3D Modeling with AutoCAD
July 8 – July 25, 2019

You can become a valuable asset to your company! This course introduces students to aspects of computer-based, three-dimensional (3D) modeling using the AutoCAD platform. It guides them in constructing 3D wireframe models, surface models and solid models to make multi-view drawings.

Course content and training topics:

  • User coordinate system and the z-axis
  • 3D wireframe modeling
  • UCS, viewports and wireframe modeling
  • 3D surface modeling
  • Solid modeling-constructive solid geometry
  • Regions, extrude and solid modeling
  • Multi-view drawings from 3D models
  • Symmetrical features in designs
  • Advanced modeling tools and techniques
  • Conceptual design tools and techniques
  • Introduction to photorealistic rendering

WDI offers convenient classes in 3D Modeling with AutoCAD that take only a few weeks time to complete!

Wednesday, July 10, 17 & 24 from 5:30 – 9 p.m.
Thursday, July 11, 18, & 25 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Prerequisites: AutoCAD Basics or equivalent
