Online Instructor Training and Open Labs with the Center for Distance and Online Learning

Spring Cohort for Online Instructor Training Begins Next Week

The online instructor training workshop series is for faculty who will teach either fully online asynchronous (no set meeting time) or hybrid classes (limited real-time meetings online or in-person). During training, faculty meet with Instructional Designers either remotely or in-person for two hours each week for 7-weeks to learn the HVCC online toolkit, online learning strategies, and best practices for quality assurance. In between class sessions, faculty work on their own or with support to build the course they will be teaching. At the end of the workshop, the completed course build will run through an OSCQR rubric to ensure best practices in quality assurance are present. The course is then sent to the faculty’s DC for review and approval.

D2L Brightspace OPEN LAB Sessions

The Center for Distance and Online Learning offers OPEN LABS both in person and on Zoom to our schedule.

Staff will be available to answer questions, review tools and settings, and help with configurations and integrations in your specific course.
