Open Enrollment for Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and the Medical Expense/Dependent Care Reimbursement Plan (Flex 125) and new this year VISION INSURANCE
Dec. 1 – Dec. 31 is open enrollment for Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance and the Medical Expense and Dependent Care Reimbursement Plan (Flex 125)!
You are now able to change your elections for health, dental and vision or enroll in new benefits through our administrator’s [Capital Benefits] portal. Please go to www.capben.com/hvcc to enroll or make any changes.
Rates and plan descriptions and associated regulatory changes of interest are available in the Capital Benefits portal as well as on the Human Resources website.
If you are happy with your current Health Insurance plan, you do not need to do anything for it to continue. However, the Flex 125 plan requires an annual election. If you had a 2019 account and would like one in 2020, you must fill out a new enrollment form by Dec. 31. Additional information and the enrollment form are available on the Office of Human Resources website [forms and documentation].
Any questions concerning rates and coverage should be addressed to the Office of Human Resources.
What is the Flex 125 Plan?
The Medical Expense Reimbursement plan allows an employee to reduce salary to pay for personal or family medical and dental expenses which are otherwise un-reimbursed to an annual maximum of $2,750.
The Dependent Care Reimbursement plan allows an employee to reduce salary to pay for child care (or dependent in home care) to an annual maximum of $5,000.
You may obtain more detailed information on the Flex 125 on the Office of Human Resources website, or by contacting the Office of Human Resources at (518) 629-4552.
